Sakhalin International Festival of Military Bands

Sakhalin International festival of military orchestras contributes to patriotic education of the population, forms traditions of joint performance of military orchestras from various countries in honour of World War II completion as well as facilitates the popularization of the best samples of world music.

The festival is held in September, at least once every three years. Between festivals, concerts, processions, solemn memorial events, meetings, master classes according to the plan annually approved by the Ministry of Culture of Sakhalin region take place.

The festival is an unforgettable musical celebration for citizens and guests of the city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, concerts are held at outdoors sites of other cities of Sakhalin region, too.

Musical show brings together performers from different countries at one stage, great technical equipment and awesome performing skills create a special holiday atmosphere.
